We chose to drive to the Nürburgring, which allowed us to fully enjoy the scenic roads and picturesque countryside leading up to the track. However, if you prefer to fly, Cologne Bonn Airport is a convenient choice, about a 90-minute drive away, while Frankfurt Airport is roughly 2 hours from the track.
Where to Stay
For the full Nürburgring experience, staying close to the track is essential. If you’re traveling in a group, the Lindner Ferienpark Nürburgring is a fantastic choice, offering spacious cottages and excellent amenities for a more social atmosphere. In the evenings, the atmosphere in this small village feels straight out of Fast and Furious, with incredible cars parked all around, creating a true motorsport vibe. For solo travelers or couples, I recommend the Ring-Apartment – a modern, comfortable option just minutes from the track, perfect for those who want a cozy, private stay.
Car Rental

Where to Eat
Before hitting the track, a hearty breakfast is a must. I highly recommend Devil’s Diner, located right at the entrance to the tourist drives. Their pancakes are particularly amazing and a perfect way to fuel up for a day on the Nordschleife.
Experiencing the Track
For first-timers, I’d recommend taking a few laps on a guided tour to get a feel for the infamous corners like Karussell, Flugplatz, and the notorious Brünnchen.
If you ever feel like taking a break from driving, I highly recommend heading to the Nordschleife to watch the action up close. Some of the best spectator spots include Brünnchen, Pflanzgarten, Wippermann, and Hatzenbach. These sections offer thrilling views of the track, where you can really appreciate the speed, sound, and sheer intensity of the cars as they push through the corners.
