March Calendar: F1 and the NLS are back!

12 Mar – 15 Mar 2025 IMSA 12 H Race Sebring

After Porsche’s big victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, endurance racing fans don’t have to wait long for the next major showdown—the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring is just around the corner! This historic race, known for its grueling track and unpredictable conditions, promises another weekend of high-stakes competition.

One of the biggest questions heading into Sebring is whether BMW can repeat their strong qualifying performance and claim pole position once again. But as we know, endurance racing isn’t just about speed—it’s about strategy, consistency, and surviving the chaos of multi-class battles. Will BMW be able to convert their pace into a race win, or will the Porsche squad strike back and reclaim the top step of the podium?

Of course, they won’t be the only contenders. With teams from Cadillac, Acura, Ferrari, and more in the mix, the fight for victory is bound to be intense. Sebring’s notorious bumps and high tire degradation will test both drivers and machines to the limit, making every pit stop, overtaking move, and strategy call crucial.

If the action at Daytona was anything to go by, we’re in for another absolute thriller. Whether you’re a die-hard endurance racing fan or just tuning in for the excitement, the 12 Hours of Sebring is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Buckle up—it’s going to be a wild ride!

14 Mar – 16 Mar F1 Australia + 21 Mar – 23 Mar F1 China

A new season, fresh rivalries, and a clean slate—Formula 1 is back! The 2025 F1 season is set to kick off with an exciting double-header, starting with the Australian Grand Prix (March 14-16), followed by the much-anticipated return of the Chinese Grand Prix (March 21-23). With new regulations, driver changes, and plenty of unknowns, these opening rounds will give us our first real glimpse into how the teams stack up this year.

First Stop: Melbourne – The Australian Grand Prix

The season opener takes place at the Albert Park Circuit, a high-speed street-style track that has hosted some unforgettable races over the years. The combination of tricky corners, fast chicanes, and Melbourne’s unpredictable weather always makes for an exciting race.

After a long winter break, the biggest question remains: who has nailed the 2025 car regulations? Will Red Bull continue their dominance, or have Ferrari, Mercedes, or McLaren finally closed the gap? And what about Aston Martin or even one of the midfield teams—could they surprise the field in the season opener?

With no race data yet, strategy will play a crucial role, and teams will be looking to capitalize on any early weaknesses their rivals show. Will we see a first-time winner? A shock podium? Melbourne is known for delivering surprises!

Next Up: Shanghai – The Return of the Chinese Grand Prix

Just one week later, F1 heads to Shanghai International Circuit, marking its return to the calendar after a long absence. The Chinese Grand Prix is known for its long straights, technical corners, and unpredictable racing, making it a true test for both drivers and teams.

The famous Turn 1-2 spiral demands precision, while the massive back straight leading into a tight hairpin guarantees plenty of wheel-to-wheel battles. With the 2025 cars still an unknown quantity on this track, we could see some fascinating strategic battles unfold.

This race could also provide our first clear championship pecking order—was Melbourne a fluke, or will a true title contender emerge in Shanghai?

21 Mar – 23 Mar Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie

The wait is finally over! One of the most thrilling endurance racing series in the world is back—the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) kicks off its 2025 season from March 21-23 at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.

This is the race I’m looking forward to the most! There’s nothing quite like the Green Hell, where unpredictable weather, relentless elevation changes, and an unforgiving track push both drivers and machines to their limits.

A New Season, New Challenges

With a fresh season comes fresh excitement. Teams will be eager to start strong, testing their cars and strategies on one of the toughest circuits in motorsport. Will last year’s front-runners continue their dominance, or will a new contender rise to the occasion?

With the unique mix of GT3s, touring cars, and almost street cars, the grid will once again deliver breathtaking multi-class battles across the 25-kilometer circuit. Every lap is an adventure, with changing track conditions and the ever-present challenge of traffic management.

If you’re a fan of pure, unfiltered racing, the NLS season opener is a must-watch. The Nordschleife never disappoints, and this race will be no exception.

The 2025 endurance season in Europe is here, and it all starts at the Green Hell—are you ready?

March is shaping up to be an absolute paradise for motorsport fans! With back-to-back race weekends across different series, this month is packed with high-speed action, intense battles, and season openers that will set the tone for the rest of the year.
